Joel G. Brasch, MD, FACOG – Medical Director
Dr. Joel Brasch is the Medical Director of Chicago IVF. When he founded the practice in 1997, he envisioned a center devoted to helping couples and individuals achieve the family of their dreams through a combination of outstanding medical care and a compassionate, welcoming human touch.
Dr. Brasch is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has over 25 years of direct experience in fertility treatment and reproductive care. He is also the Director of Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Highlights
Dr. Brasch’s academic profile is extensive: he received his B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Northwestern University, and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Brasch completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he holds a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Rush Medical College.
As an educator, Dr. Brasch has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Chicago Medical School, and as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both Rush University Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Nationally recognized for his prolific achievements, Dr. Brasch holds memberships with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), the Society of American Reproductive Technologies (SART), RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the Endometriosis Association, and the Chicago Medical Society (CMS). He is the founder of Chicago IVF Europe, on the Board of Directors for Chicago IVF Shanghai as well as for Medicess International Shanghai. He is on the Medical Advisory Board for NxGen MDx, LLC.
Throughout his celebrated career, Dr. Brasch has been recognized with many honors and awards. He was the recipient of the Berlex Resident Education Award, was appointed Executive Chief Resident, and was selected in for Most Significant Research by The Endocrine Society. He has delivered numerous lectures, his wide-ranging research has been presented at industry conferences and symposia around the world. He is a worldwide consulting lecturer, and he has had articles published in distinguished medical journals such as Fertility and Sterility.
